We are delighted to be able to confirm that the Roger De Haan Charitable Trust has given a 5 figure donation to the project. This is a major boost to our fund-raising activities, and has been given specifically to help us deliver the improved disabled access to the church yard and step-free access to the church that is such an important part of our project objectives. We need to implement this in the Spring or early Summer in order for the dig in the church yard to go ahead. So this grant brings success a step closer.
Over the coming weeks, we will be finalising our funding bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund that will, we hope, provide the bulk of the cash funding we need. But we have been advised that the HLF looks much more favourably on projects that have raised funds from multiple sources. Grants from bodies like the De Haan Trust are therefore hugely important and will contribute to a successful bid.
Equally, donations from the public are very welcome and every amount we receive will help, whether large or small. If you would like to contribute to our project and help us achieve our plans, then please click here for more details.
