Our first project publication has just arrived back from the printers and is now on sale.
This is an edited version of the daily blog posts, with some of the extra information that we posted on the noticeboard on the viewing platform during the dig. So it is a record of the dig itself, our initial thoughts about what we found, and in some cases how our ideas changed as more evidence came to light.
The book is priced £5 and is for sale either from the village Library in Lyminge or from Sunny Cottage, Canterbury Road, Lyminge CT18 8HU (behind the Coffee Cabin).
There will be a launch event at the Library at 11.00 am on Friday 11 October, and a repeat event, also at the Library at 3.30 pm on Tuesday 15 October. Please come along then to collect your copy, and to share your thoughts about the project and our plans for 2020.
If you do not live locally and wish us to send you a copy, we are inviting minimum donations as follows:
Rest of the World: £8

This is Volume 1 of what is intended to be a series of publications produced by the Pathways to the Past project. Volume 2 is planned to look at what we have learned from the past decade of excavations in Lyminge, and how this adds to what we already know from earlier archaeological finds and historical records.
