The last stage of laying the new paths in the church yard commenced this morning.
A rubber crumb is being laid on top of the aggregate over the next couple of days. This will provide the immediate sub-base to the top surface of resin-bound aggregate.
Further down the path towards the main entrance, the new handrail is also being installed.
The hard landscaping is now heading towards completion. At the same time, we are also working with the environmental team who have put together a management plan for the Parish Council for both Court Lodge Green (“the Bumpy Field”) and Tayne/Well Fields. This will allow us to develop more biodiversity within the churchyard through a range of planting including areas of wild flowers. This will extend the green corridor that has already begun to be created in neighbouring Court Lodge Green. This will be an ongoing programme that we hope will make marked improvements to the church yard going forward. We can share more details once the scheme has been developed and approved by the PCC.
